What is Mutokai?
~Training and refining the mind, body and soul through Aikido~
For those who want to find time in their busy lives to calm their mind, train their body, and deepen their understanding of themselves. Aikido is not just about honing your skills, it is also a way to reexamine yourself and learn how to be a person.
At Mutokai, we value respect, gratitude, and mutual respect as we practice hard and train to improve our minds, bodies, and souls.
"Mind" - First of all, it is important to have the right attitude and awareness when practicing. By having courtesy, respect and gratitude, Aikido practice becomes not just a place to learn techniques, but also a place for spiritual growth.
"Body" – Through training in basic movements and techniques, you will develop physical ability, build a strong body, and master skills.
"Soul" – By repeatedly training the mind and body, one's "soul" will eventually be influenced, that is, one's true nature and the way one lives. Self-exploration and growth through Aikido will lead to a deeper understanding of life itself.
We practice daily with the hope of improving ourselves and enriching our lives through Aikido. By learning from and supporting each other, we can realize things and grow in ways we could not achieve alone. Mutokai is a place where you can walk together with such friends.

friendship dojo
Our dojo is under the guidance of Master Seki Shoji, a member of the Aikikai Headquarters Dojo Instruction Department.
We also have connections with other dojos where students are studying under Master Seki, and we visit them regularly for training and deepen our ties through joint training sessions and training camps.
Students from the same teacher inspire each other and hone their skills and minds.
Below we would like to introduce some of the friendly dojos with which we have had friendly relations.
